So OU Does Still Suck!

"Well we really expected more of a challenge..." - Reggie Bush, USC Running Back

The last bowl game, the championship Orange Bowl, ended up being the worst one! The final score was 55-19, USC.

A beautiful touchdown catch by Byrd

I've seen some bad football games, but that was downright embarassing! No doubt that it delighted me beyond measure to see OU suffer for taking away our chance of being in the Orange Bowl though. I'm not saying we would've beaten USC, but we would've fought well! Jason White threw 4 interceptions, all of which led to touchdowns for USC. And the defense was even sloppier by allowing really wide passes from MVP Leinart. USC had 5 turnovers, OU had 0! In the last quarter most of the stadium, which was mostly OU fans, was emptying before the score even hit 55-10. At that point even Mickey Mouse declared USC the winner! The best was half time though when Kelly Clarkson's mic was off and Ashlee Simpson got booed!

Now for some movie news. Apparantly Tony Scott, of True Romance and Top Gun fame, has been directing a film called Domino written by Richard Kelly, of Donnie Darko fame. So what's the big deal? You'd know if you saw those movies and knew that the cast included Keira Knightly (Bend it Like Beckham, Pirates of the Caribbean), Lucy Liu (KILL BILL!), Christopher Walken (countless films including Pulp Fiction and The Dead Zone), and Mena Suvari (she's just hot). You can read more about the strangely intriguing script here.

I ran into this really interesting commentary about using The Sims to help learn a foreign language! A must read for geeks like me and people who have trouble with their foreign language class but love video games. This methodology of consolidating information is psychologically logical and should work. Maybe it'll become mainstream someday?! I know that a friend of mine learned basic Japanese just to play Final Fantasy XI with the Japanese players and they learn certain words from each other (like "pwned").

Lastly, I'm going to try a Midweek Music Meme:
Q: What’s your favorite unlikely duet?
A: Dirt Off Your Shoulder/Lying from You - Jay-Z & Linkin Park
I just thought that was a strange matchup. Feel free to comment with your own answer.
