I <3 24

"Alright Louis then I get anal! No matter how neat I want the house you have to do it!" - Peter, Family Guy

That quote has nothing to do with anything, but I just think it's hilarious. Anyway, I really really love 24! The SAG nominations were announced today and 24 got two nominations: outstanding ensemble and outstanding lead actor in a drama series. I'm also very happy that Christine Lahti was nominated for outstanding lead actress for the awesome Jack and Bobby.

Back to 24 though: the third and fourth episodes were good, but not as impressive as Sunday night. Still, they reinforce my addiction for the show and we found out that this kid is a little pushover:

Speak up boi!

I still reccomend that people catch up and watch the show every Monday because almost all the old characters are gone so it's easy for someone who knows nothing about the show to start watching it.

In other news, Yahoo! launched the beta of its new desktop search application to compete with Google and Microsoft. I think that's a bit too much, but it's not like they'll beat out both companies anyway since they're so late in the game.

Speaking of game, Wired News had a really cool article about how it's common to have difficulties returning to reality after playing a game for a prolonged period of time. I must admit that in the heyday of GTA3, I walked to my bus stop one day and felt like I could get there faster by stealing a car until I realized that I wasn't playing the game! On another occasion I was afraid of walking outside because the fog reminded me of Silent Hill 2 and I didn't have enough ammo to kill any more monsters. Can you imagine doing dumb stuff after playing PoP for too long and realizing that you can't turn back time?

One last news item I had was that the movie I briefly mentioned yesterday, Assault on Precinct 13, has been reviewed by Quint. Sounds like a must-see action flick to me.

And now, the Tuesday Twosome meme:

1. Two celebs that you feel are the most overexposed:
Ashlee Simpson (she's not talented!) and Paris Hilton (she's too slutty!)
2. Two news items you wish the press would stop talking about:
Outsourcing and Tsunami sob stories (it's very sad but too sad to dwell on)
3. Two songs that you are tired of hearing on the radio:
Until the Day I Die - Story of the Year (good artist though)
Fall to Pieces - Velvet Revolver (what's so special about them?)
4. Two TV shows that should NOT be renewed for another reason:
Newlyweds, because it's crappy television, and all judge shows, because they're really stupid.
5. Two movies (that are currently showing) that you would recommend:
The Aviator and Ray

As always, you may comment with your own answers.
